Learn more About UsWhen you send your child to Sacred Heart of Jesus, you send your whole child, not just his or her intellect. We believe that we must provide a safe and nuturing place where your whole child can develop and grow.
Kindergarten children learn through experiences that provide for all the developmental needs-physical, social, emotional, and creative as well as intellectual.
Kindergarten children are encouraged to talk about their experiences with other children and adults in the classroom.
Kindergarten children are involved in a variety of psychomotor experiences including music, rhythms, movement, large and small motor manipulatives, and outdoor activities.
Kindergarten children are provided with many opportunities to interact in meaningful print contexts. Some of those opportunities include listening to stories, participating in shared book experiences, making language experience stories and books, developing key word vocabularies, reading classroom labels, and using print in the various learning centers.
Each child comes to school with extraordinary gifts which time, play and developmentally based teaching will reveal.
When you send your whole child, we will provide that safe, nuturing place where your child can begin to claim his or her gifts. We will help your child know that he/she is special!
